What is Krav Maga?

Krav-Maga originated in Israel under battle field conditions and adapted very efficiently to the civilian world. It is based on natural reactions to events so it is easy to learn and remember. We have trained people in Krav Maga all over the world thus expanding and continuing its founder’s (Imi Lichtenfield) philosophy that nobody should have to live in fear but instead, one should train in Krav Maga so that “one may walk in peace!”

Who can join?

Children or adults can benefit from Krav Maga. Our youth class begins at age 5 Anyone ages 16 to Senior may participate in the adult classes no matter your strength or fitness level.

It is your responsibility to notify our instructors if you have chronic injuries or disabilities.  Your instructor will tailor the techniques to fit your needs.

How much does it cost to take Krav Maga?

There are two ways students can pay for classes: A la carte ($10 per class) or $60 per month

I have a concealed carry permit. Do I still need Krav Maga?

Yes, absolutely!

The odds are, in your CCW class you were taught the “21-Foot Rule”. Simply stated, an attacker charging at you from 21 feet away will not give you enough time to draw your weapon and engage the attacker effectively.

Most physical attacks occur within 21 feet. Krav Maga will teach you everything you need to know to effectively neutralize, or disengage and draw on any close quarter assailant.

If you are trained with a concealed weapon, you are probably already prepared to stand between a violent attack and innocent lives. For your benefit and those you protect, take advantage of the most effective close combat system in the world today!

What do I need to take the class?

– Mouth Guard

– Groin Protection (you too, ladies!)

– Indoor athletic shoes, such as wrestling shoes or training shoes

– Please make sure you are well-hydrated and eat a fairly large meal 1-2 hours before class. Bring plenty to drink during class.

Do you require a student contract?

We do not currently employ a student contract enrollment system. Our student fees are due monthly. This may change in the future, as needed. To progress you are required to join the International Krav Maga Federation, which is rather simple.

What is the IKMF ranking system?

There are three adult levels: Practitioner, Graduate, & Expert. There are 5 ranks in each level. Advanced training starts at P3.
